in the last weekVisited this Cenote as part of a Cenote Tour with Mexican Kan Eco-Tours on 2026-02-02. This Cenote was our first stop around 9 am and we were the only people there for our visit which was lovely and peaceful. There are strict rules about what you can bring into the Cenote area and no backpacks, sunscreen, water bottles, etc. are allowed. I just took my phone and camera and left the rest of my stuff in the tour van. The Cenote itself is an open water type surrounded by jungle and mangroves. There were two places you could jump into the water and two ladders. The water at this Cenote was the cleanest and clearest I have seen in any Cenote I’ve visited (which has been a lot)! You could see all the way to the bottom. The vibrant colour was also so beautiful. I enjoyed swimming and snorkelling here. It was a cool morning and the water actually felt warmer than the outside air temperature. I loved how well maintained this Cenote and property were. It is one of my favourite open water cenotes that I’ve been to. Gorgeous! Will definitely return and recommend to others.

a week agoYesterday, during a downpour, we arrived by car in a parking lot for about 25 cars. Two cars were already there. After waiting in the car for 5 minutes (in heavy rain), we were told to move the car. Three minutes later, we were told to move it again, and another three minutes after that, yet again... in a parking lot that was 90% empty! I refused, at which point the manager insulted us and even became physically aggressive. This was the only aggressive Mexican I've encountered so far (in the last four weeks). A few kilometers further on, we spent a wonderful day in a very, very beautiful cenote.

a week agoExcellent cenote, very beautiful, it has a platform for jumping in, marine life for snorkeling, and the water is generally very refreshing for a sunny day. Near Chamuyil, it's an excellent option for spending the day.

a week agoA beautiful cenote with crystal-clear, deep water. You can see the entire bottom because of the water's transparency. There's a platform for diving and stairs for climbing up and down. You have to pay to enter, but it's worth it.
