Literally a hole in the wall. Had difficulty finding it because it's not where Google maps says it is. It's actually on the other side of the street, across from a Superpharma, see photo of the street from inside the restaurant. I got the fish filet and it was superb! Probably the best dish I've had in my 2 months in Mexico. The complementary dip that came with the chips was good too. If I weren't leaving tomorrow, I would've come back for the filet again. It would've been great to have more diverse and natural drink options. Like orange juice :)

We had a wonderful evening at Yaakun. The chef and waitress were so friendly, the food was delicious, especially the guacamole and the fish fillet. They even fussed over and held our baby while we ate. The restaurant is a bit further down the road than the google location says.

The relleno negro and escabeche are delicious and traditional to Chetumal! You have to try them

Fantastic staff and the food was some of the best we had in Mexico! Their traditional cochinita dish was incredibly delicious, I could eat here every day!
