in the last weekThe staff were incredible. I have rarely been so relaxed and comfortable. The water was beautiful, warm and clear. Highly recommend!!

in the last weekThe staff is very friendly and the transportation was straightforward enough, though we got stuffed in a cab with strangers at the end of the day, and I do mean stuffed... my wife was stuck with 2 other (unfortunately, not petite) ladies in the backseat of a small sedan for a bumpy, 30 minute taxi ride. There wasn't room for any of them to be seatbelted in back there. The sand was nice and the bar was stocked. My wife and I got a massage that we both enjoyed, although I would say it seemed like the staff may not be as trained on techniques as other massages I've received. Can't complain for the price. BUT.... they don't have any bottled water and did not advertise this in any of their documentation. We did not get sick from their filtered water that was offered but being surprised about not having bottled water only upon arrival at a VERY rural beach club was distressing to me and I did not feel I could fully relax or drink as I didn't want to allow myself to drink the water and risk getting sick on vacation. If they invested in getting bottled water like most other resorts catering to Americans, I would increase this to 4 stars.

2 weeks agoA crowded beach. Nothing more nice than that.

3 weeks agoWe loved our day at Maya Chan! If you are seeking a day of rest, being pampered, amazing food and drinks look no farther. This is the excursion to book! The service was the best we’ve had- no exaggeration. They actually waded through the water when we were out floating to ask if we’d like a drink and then brought us one! The tacos were to die for. Best decision of the trip was booking this excursion!
