weeks agoMy experience at International House Playa del Carmen was absolutely wonderful. I enrolled in a one-week Spanish immersion program, and it exceeded all my expectations. My teacher was incredible. Her teaching style is fun, interactive, and highly engaging. She makes everyone feel comfortable participating, which creates a positive and motivating learning environment. She corrects mistakes in such a respectful and supportive way that you never feel embarrassed — instead, you feel encouraged to improve. She is approachable, uplifting, and genuinely invested in her students’ progress. Her energy and passion for teaching truly stand out. The school itself is in an amazing location — conveniently near the beach and the shopping area of Playa del Carmen, which makes the entire experience even more enjoyable. The classrooms are spacious and comfortable, creating a great atmosphere for learning. I also want to highlight Vidal, whose attention to students and dedication to making sure everyone is well taken care of is exceptional. His support adds so much to the overall experience. Overall, it was a fantastic one-week Spanish immersion program. I would highly recommend this school to anyone looking to improve their Spanish in a fun, supportive, and beautiful environment. P.S. SHOUT OUT TO THE STAFF AT THE SCHOOL RESIDENCE FOR BEING SO HELPFUL AND ACCOMMODATING: FERNANDO, ELENA, NATALIA AND CARLOS. SPECIAL SHOUT-OUT TO MY NEW-FOUND FRIEND, FRANK.. He is a real jack of all trades who makes the entire experience extra special. From bartending the Friday cocktails to leading the city walking tours, he brings such positive energy and enthusiasm to everything he does. He warmly welcomes students during the breakfast reception and always makes sure everyone feels included and comfortable. Throughout the week, he thoughtfully serves snacks and checks in on students, adding those small but meaningful touches that make a big difference. Frank is incredibly hardworking, kind, and dedicated. No matter what role he’s stepping into — bartender, tour guide, host, or support staff — he does it with a genuine smile and a welcoming attitude. His presence adds so much warmth to the school community. We’re so lucky to have someone as wonderful and committed as Frank helping create such a memorable experience.

months agoI've already visited the language school twice and have been very satisfied both times. There are free leisure activities offered by the school, and you can quickly get to know other people from the school.

months agoExcellent institution. I both learned Spanish fluently and have accessed their English teaching resources (I’m an English teacher). Highly recommended for learning Spanish to fluency.

months agoGreat school, fantastic teachers. The school organized various events: cooking classes, dance classes, city tours, a visit to the chocolate museum, cocktail nights, etc. Thank you for the wonderful and unforgettable time. I'll definitely be back.

a year agoWanting to escape the Amsterdam winter, I headed to Yucatan. There I did a two-week refresher course at IH and thoroughly enjoyed the challenge. My teacher Viri was great, but adamant about only speaking Spanish in class. The entire staff was supportive as well. They use the Campus Difusion "Aula" books, which I am familiar with, so that was another plus. The school's location allows easy access to the various beaches, and the local restaurants offer all the variety a traveler could want. Studying in Playa at IH is the perfect winter getaway for us Northern Europeans.
