in the last weekWe found this restaurant on Google Maps. It's very well located and, most importantly, quiet. It's a hotel restaurant where you can also eat. The cocktails are very good and the food delicious. The atmosphere is intimate and friendly. The prices are a bit higher, but we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! I recommend it.

a week agoUpdate 2026: Three years ago we visited Mistura for the first time and absolutely loved it – and after returning today, we can happily say that nothing has changed in the best possible way. The atmosphere is still wonderful, relaxed and welcoming, making it a perfect place to enjoy a great meal in Bacalar. The food continues to be prepared with a lot of care and attention to detail and tastes just as amazing as we remembered. What really makes this place special, however, is the outstanding staff. The team is incredibly friendly, attentive and genuinely welcoming, making you feel comfortable from the moment you arrive. Their service truly elevates the entire experience. It’s rare to come back to a restaurant after three years and find the same high level of quality, consistency and hospitality. Mistura has clearly managed to maintain its standards, and that deserves real recognition. We are very happy to have returned and can once again highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Bacalar. First visit 2023: Mistura is one of the best restaurants in Bacalar, it's a bit out of the way from the center, but since Bacalar isn't very big, it's easy to get to and definitely worth it. The waiters Diego and Cesar are amazing. The are every second so friendly and attentive. The food is prepared with a lot of love and tastes great. As we were also staying in the adjoining hotel, we used the restaurant on two evenings and for every breakfast and it was excellent each time. I can only recommend this excellent restaurant.

a week agoCorn soup was lovely, enchiladas are just plantain with a very unexciting sauce, the burger was decent, drinks were fine. Incredibly lovely place and very polite staff. A little too proper for our taste but nice for a romantic date.
