Our Europcar rental car, which we had rented in Cancun, was defective when we arrived in Playa del Carmen, and we sought assistance at this station. The trunk opened during the drive and wouldn't close. The technician was helpful and tried to fix the problem, but then had to inform us that we would need to exchange the car. The woman at the station could only offer us a higher category vehicle for an additional fee. She refused to call Cancun for us to discuss alternative solutions, claiming she didn't have their phone number and only had her personal cell phone. As a result, we had to continue driving to Cancun with the trunk open, where we finally received assistance. We unnecessarily lost half a day as a result. This is not the kind of service I expect from a global company.
