Che was fun! Great Yoga with Daniel one morning! Could do with more chill out areas, maybe some hammocks dotted about on the different rooftops :) Very Clean! Volunteers are Awesome!

Anything positive that I would have to say has been completely undone by the fact that the Hostel absolutely BLASTS music until whatever time in the morning they feel like. It’s currently 3am and even with ear plugs jammed into our ears we are unable to sleep at all. I’ve read in their reviews that apparently these are only hosted once per fortnight, but my advice would be to avoid this place at all costs. There are party hostels, then there is this. It’s genuinely just at an obnoxious level. You can attend the parties if you are staying outside the hostel. So stay elsewhere and just come for the party if that’s your thing. I find it crazy that the hostel is willing to disregard every single one of their guests for the sake of a (mediocre looking) party.

We stayed at Che in Bacalar for two nights and really enjoyed it. The hostel is large with many levels of rooms and plenty of relaxing areas. The pool is great and there are lots of spots to hang out and unwind. The atmosphere is very social and there was a huge party going on while we were there, which added to the fun. When we arrived on our first night the air conditioning wasn’t working, so the staff kindly moved us into a private room for free. The next morning we moved into our dorm room once the AC was fixed, which was a really thoughtful gesture. The activities on the lagoon were quite expensive, and we found much better prices on GetYourGuide and Viator, but visiting the lagoons is a must if you come to Bacalar. We stayed in a double bed pod room which was really nice, and we honestly wished we could have shared one bed between us since we didn’t need two. The bathrooms and showers are cleaned regularly and are very nice. Overall, it is definitely worth staying here if you come to Bacalar. *Theres also a padel court nearby*

I had an amazing stay at the Che. Everyone is social and very friendly. On my first evening I was welcomed by Fernanda, she is great at giving tours of the hostel and it's activities, dances really well and is flexible at helping out guests :D. The hostel has multiple activities throughout the day, including boat parties and salsa classes. Kevin the bartender is also super friendly.
