Generalmente, el agua no es muy profunda y se mantiene templada durante todo el a\u00f1o, lo que lo convierte en un lugar perfecto para practicar snorkel. En el idioma local, Sac Actun significa &quot;Cueva Blanca&quot;, pero tambi\u00e9n se le conoce como Cenote Cementerio de Mascotas.<\/p>\n<p>El cenote Sac Actun se encuentra cerca de Tulum, aproximadamente a 120 km al sur de Canc\u00fan. Es considerado el sistema de cuevas submarinas m\u00e1s largo del mundo, con una extensi\u00f3n de 346 kil\u00f3metros (215 millas).<\/p>\n<p>El cenote Sac Act\u00fan se encuentra cerca del popular cenote Dos Ojos. De hecho, un descubrimiento reciente de 2018 revel\u00f3 que el cenote Dos Ojos est\u00e1 conectado con el sistema Sac Act\u00fan y forma parte de \u00e9l.<\/p>\n<p>En el cenote Sac Actun, los arque\u00f3logos han descubierto cer\u00e1mica antigua y animales fosilizados como pumas, jaguares e incluso mamuts. El lugar donde se encontraron los f\u00f3siles, una caverna, solo se puede visitar acompa\u00f1ado de un gu\u00eda.<\/p>\n<p>Para llegar al Cenote Sac Act\u00fan, se puede alquilar un coche o tomar un taxi desde Tulum, ubicado a aproximadamente 15 kil\u00f3metros (9 millas).
