Este cenote, cuyo nombre deriva de la palabra espa\u00f1ola &quot;calavera&quot;, es una visita obligada para quienes se sienten intrigados por el encanto m\u00edstico de los cenotes y su papel vital en la civilizaci\u00f3n maya.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Los cenotes, sumideros naturales formados por el colapso de lechos rocosos de piedra caliza, han desempe\u00f1ado un papel vital en la civilizaci\u00f3n maya desde hace mucho tiempo, sirviendo como fuentes de agua dulce y lugares para ceremonias rituales. El Cenote Calavera no es la excepci\u00f3n, y su proximidad a la antigua ciudad de Tulum sugiere su importancia hist\u00f3rica.<\/p>\n<p>El Cenote Calavera cuenta con tres aberturas distintivas en la superficie que se asemejan a las cuencas de los ojos y la boca de una calavera, de ah\u00ed su nombre. La abertura m\u00e1s grande, de aproximadamente 10 metros de di\u00e1metro, permite que la luz del sol penetre e ilumine las cristalinas aguas turquesas, creando una atm\u00f3sfera encantadora.<\/p>\n<p>El Cenote Calavera se encuentra a aproximadamente 4 kil\u00f3metros del centro de Tulum, por lo que es f\u00e1cilmente accesible en coche, taxi o bicicleta. Al ser de propiedad privada, la entrada tiene un costo de 250 pesos mexicanos, sujeto a cambios. El cenote abre todos los d\u00edas de 9:00 a 17:00, aunque se recomienda llegar temprano para evitar las multitudes y disfrutar de la tranquilidad.<\/p>\n<p>Snorkel: Las aguas cristalinas del Cenote Calavera ofrecen un entorno ideal para practicar snorkel. El cenote tiene una profundidad m\u00e1xima de aproximadamente 16 metros y los visitantes podr\u00e1n observar una gran variedad de vida marina, incluyendo peces de colores y tortugas. Se puede alquilar equipo de snorkel en el lugar.<\/p>\n<p>Buceo: El Cenote Calavera es un lugar excelente tanto para buceadores principiantes como avanzados, ofreciendo experiencias submarinas \u00fanicas. Para los buceadores experimentados, el cenote est\u00e1 conectado a un extenso sistema de cuevas subterr\u00e1neas, lo que brinda la oportunidad de explorar sus laber\u00ednticos pasajes. Las tiendas de buceo en Tulum suelen organizar excursiones guiadas de buceo al cenote.<\/p>\n<p>Salto desde acantilados: Para los visitantes m\u00e1s aventureros, el Cenote Calavera ofrece la emoci\u00f3n de saltar desde acantilados desde diferentes alturas. La abertura m\u00e1s grande ofrece una plataforma para saltos de hasta 5 metros, mientras que las aberturas m\u00e1s peque\u00f1as ofrecen saltos de aproximadamente 3 metros.
