en la última semanaOur experience was unfortunately marked by several service missteps, which was disappointing given the restaurant’s positioning and price point.Upon arrival, we were asked to review the menu before being seated. While not necessarily problematic, the welcome felt somewhat lacking in warmth.We opted for the four-course tasting menu. Early on, a few details raised concerns. When opening our bottled water, the server dropped the cork on the floor and attempted to place it back on the bottle. I had to intervene and ask that it not be reused.The wine service was also inconsistent. Two of my selections were unavailable, and this was only communicated after the first course had already been served. I was finally able to order a third option that was available.Several service errors followed: – My partner received her soup while I was told I did not have one, despite it being included in the tasting menu. Mine was eventually brought to the table. – I was served a vegetable roll instead of the beef taco I had ordered. The mistake was corrected after I asked what had been placed in front of me. – For the main course, our plates were reversed (fish of the day and beef), and we had to exchange them ourselves. – No detailed presentation or explanation of the dishes was provided, which is typically expected at this level. – Throughout the meal, I found myself pouring both the water and the wine.That being said, I must acknowledge that the food itself was excellent. The fish of the day, in particular, was delicious.Before we left, the chef personally came to our table to apologize for the service shortcomings. He kindly offered a complimentary digestif, which I declined. In my view, a digestif does not compensate for inconsistent service — especially when the kitchen clearly delivered.In summary, the cuisine shows real talent and potential. However, the service lacks the coordination, attentiveness, and refinement expected at this price point. With stronger front-of-house execution, the overall experience could truly match the quality of the food.

We ordered the eight-course tasting menu, and each course was better than the last—they were all absolutely delicious! We loved the ambiance; it's an unpretentious place with decor that allows you to focus on the food and savor the experience. Definitely recommended for a unique dinner in Bacalar.

They also provided excellent wine recommendations to complement the meal. Finally, the head chef and hostess were very attentive and attentive, coming to your table to explain the menu. In short, highly recommended if you're in Bacalar and appreciate high-quality food!

Hace 3 semanasWe had an amazing experience. Loved every plate and the attention to detail. We tried the taco tasting menu and the 4 course menu plus the lamb. All dishes were to die for. I can highly recommend it.
